#BlackLivesMatter
Why do we get treated differently because of the color of our skin..We’ve been through racism, jim crow laws, segregation, and slavery and people have the AUDACITY to treat us as if we were less than anybody else . In 2010 alone, 496,754 more black went to college than to prison, breaking down the stereotype that black peoples are only criminals or the bad guy in any situation.
Racism still goes on today, people just try to keep it discreet, but its not working because we already see where this is going. Has anyone ever read the Willie Lynch Letter ?… don't answer that. If you haven't heres some background information on him: (this speech was said to have been delivered by Willie Lynch on the bank of the James River in the colony of Virginia in 1712), Lynch was a British slave owner in the West Indies, he was invited to the colony of Virginia in 1712 to teach his methods to slave owners there, and he wrote a letter that taught steps to keep black people in slavery for at least another 300 years. How do you feel about that? What if i told you that it's actually working. Some black people are ignorant enough forget that this generation is holding themselves back. I feel like this generation is blinded by what right in front of them. They way the keep acting as if they have no home training is wrong, and then when people categorize us, they go around starting riots and having unnecessary protests. Why are they proclaiming that black lives matter when in reality, it's us that's causing most the problem. Don't get me wrong, not all black people are the same. We are smart ,some of us know how this world works, and how to act in public. Some of us know right from wrong, it’s just the way most black people act terribly in public… it makes all of us look bad. One of my friends the other day said: “if a black person shoots up a school, then they are seen as a thug or a criminal, but if a white person shoots up a school- they are seen as just another crazy psychotic person who needs help.” It's all about perspective and how we all look at things, because not all blacks are the same, don’t treat us all the same.So tell me do black lives really matter if we cause half of our issues…
I just want you to see from a young black male's perspective. I just want everyone to be treated equally. I just want everyone to have fun together, have everyone to be able to go to the store and have on a hood without getting shot for no reason. I only want the people go to the store, be able to come back without getting shot and killed, then left in the middle of the street for hours. I only want everyone to be able to hang out in front of the liquor store without getting choked to death even after yelling “ can't breathe!”
